| Summary: | This poster was designed to encourage people to grow their own vegetables and to keep chooks as part of the war effort. An image of a man wearing a hat and carrying a hoe over his right shoulder and a basket of vegetables in his left arm dominates the upper two-thirds of the poster. Underneath the image in large black lettering is written 'GROW YOUR OWN VEGETABLES' with a spade replacing the 'O' in 'GROW', and underneath that in smaller red lettering 'Raise your own FOWLS', next to this in the lower right corner is an image of a black chicken with three eggs. | ||
