- 11168 Leading Aircraftman Percy Leslie Westcott with Gunner, his canine air-raid early warning system. After suffering a broken leg in Darwin's first air raid, Gunner, a kelpie pup, developed an uncanny knack of forecasting subsequent raids. Long before the sirens sounded, Gunner would get excited and head for shelter.
