- Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1969-07. This tiny monkey was bought by engineers of the 1st Field Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE) while building a bridge in a remote part of the Phuoc Tuy Province. The mascot lies on the head of Trooper (Tpr) John Catterall of Drouin, Vic. Tpr Catterall is a member of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, which is providing protection for the engineers.
