Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Dutch New Guinea, Wakde Island and Hollandia. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet describes the successful landings of the Allied Forces on Wakde Island and Galebinc Bay on 27 and 28 May 1944 respectively. It reports that the Japanese forces in these areas surrendered to the Allied Forces in order to serve their country after the war. The message tells the Japanese troops to keep the leaflet for the time when they have to make choice between a useless war and a useful life in the future.
