| Summary: | A special parade was held in Korea by the 1st Commonwealth Division to commemorate Anzac Day. United Nations Officers and units were also present at the ceremony. A New Zealand 25 pounder gun and a simply inscribed stone "Lest we forget" were the symbol of the sacrifices paid by the Australians and New Zealanders in the World Wars and Korea. Buglers of the Kings Shopshire Light Infantry sounded the Last Post as a tribute to Anzac. Lieutenant-General Robertson read the address for the ceremony; American General Van Fleet broke the colours; G.O.C. 1st Commonwealth Division, Major-General A. J. H. Cassels, addressed the parade. | ||
