| Summary: | Portrait of 61 Private (Pte) Stirling Ferguson Barnett of Northcote,. Victoria. Pte Barnett was a carpenter prior to enlistment in the 6th Battalion on 22 August 1914. He embarked at Melbourne on HMAT Hororata on 19 October 1914 for Alexandria, Egypt before proceeding to Gallipoli. Pte Barnett was killed in action at Shrapnel Gully, Gallipoli Peninsula, on 25 April 1915, aged 25 years. | ||
