| Summary: | Wounded soldiers of D Company, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), are carried by flying fox to the Company Headquarters where the most serious cases are evacuated to waiting ambulance jeeps at the bottom of the hill. From there they are sent on to the Battalion Regimental Aid Post (RAP), and receive attention from the Medical Officer. Those less serious are carried through the connecting trench to the waiting jeeps on the other side of the hill. Here Private Jock Meek of Albany, WA, is sent down the hill in the flying fox. | ||
