Summary: ALBURY, NEW SOUTH WALES, 1918. PART OF A RECRUITING MARCH WHICH BEGAN AT ALBURY, PICTURED IN THE MAIN STREET. MANY SUCH MARCHES WERE HELD IN 1918, IN AN EFFORT TO REVIVE THE SPIRIT OF 1914. THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE SO CALLED "MARCH TO FREEDOM" RECRUITING DRIVES, WHICH ORIGINATED IN SEVERAL COUNTRY TOWNS IN NEW SOUTH WALES AND MARCHED TO SYDNEY, COLLECTING RECRUITS AS THEY WENT. (DONOR D.
