| Summary: | El Nakhl, Sinai, Egypt, 1984. The El Nakhl Outpost, one of the compounds occupied by peacekeeping observers serving with Observer Group Egypt, United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). The UNTSO observers were charged with the task of ensuring that Egyptian and Israeli forces in the area kept apart and did not shoot at each other. The compound, surrounded by a barbed wire fence, contains several white United Nations (UN) vehicles, a large radio antenna and a building in which the UNTSO observers lived and worked. (Donor J.
