| Summary: | Uijongbu, Korea, c. 1950-12-25. Rugged up in winter gear against the extreme cold of a Korean Christmas, members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), gather round a small campfire to try to get warm. Resting among the coals of the fire, a small billy is on the boil and next to it a bucket of what may be washing up water. The soldier in the centre with a pair of gloves in his hands and one foot extended towards the fire is Staff Sergeant (S/Sgt) Kevin Lundy. He is turning towards S/Sgt Vince Bennett who is hatless and has his thumbs hooked into his belt. (Donor I. Robertson) | ||
