| Summary: | As morning light fills the sky, a young Khmer man who has lost both his legs sleeps on platform outside his home to escape the heat inside at a squatter settlement near the Tonle Sap River in Phnom Penh. One of an estimated 35,000 Cambodian disabled by landmines who live in Phnom Penh, this double amputee has had a system of ropes installed between the platform and the steps to his house to allow him to drag himself back inside. Behind him, a baby girl stands on the verandah of her home. | ||
