| Summary: | Informal portrait of the Van Gelder family after they were interned in a camp on Indonesia. Left to right: Carla, Hans, Rosaline, Max and Herman. The family was interned firstly by the Japanese at a military prisoner of war (POW) camp in Burma and later by the Indonesians. They were separated from their father, Herman, who was sent to a men's camp. The family were reunited with the help of the Red Cross. | ||
